Frequently asked questions.

What is SPF?

Sun Protection Factor. It tells you how much longer you can stay in the sun without being burned (compared to if you weren’t wearing sunscreen).

What does broad-spectrum mean?

The sun emits two types of radiation: UVA and UVB. UVB rays are the main cause of sunburn and increase your risk of skin cancer. UVA rays penetrate deeper into the skin and are responsible for aging, wrinkles, and brown spots. Broad-spectrum sunscreen helps protect you from both.

Can Lazyface help reduce my risk of skin cancer?

Absolutely. Apply it regularly and pair it with other skin-cancer reducing measures like protective clothing, hats, sunglasses, and avoiding peak sun exposure.

Is Lazyface suitable for all types of skin tones?

Yes. But always check the ingredient label to check for allergies and sensitivities.

Will Lazyface stay on my face if I sweat?

There is no such thing as waterproof sunscreen. Any sunscreen will wash off when exposed to moisture for a long period of time. All of our Lazyface products are water-resistant for 80 minutes (meaning you should reapply 80 minutes after swimming or sweating).

How often should I reapply sunscreen?

Sunscreen should be applied every two hours, after sweating, swimming, or towel-drying.

Where is Lazyface made?

Right here in the US of A!

Less frequently asked questions.

I have acne. Will Lazyface cause me to break out?

Lazyface won’t clog your pores. So feel good knowing Lazyface is protecting your youthful skin without causing acne breakouts. Our active mineral zinc oxide and niacinamide ingredients soothe irritation and redness.

Does Lazyface really go on without a white cast?

Completely. Our Lazyscreen goes on undetected for all skin tones.

Are your products fragrance free?

Yes. But always double check the ingredient label to check for allergies and sensitivities.

I left my Lazyface in the car on a sweltering, summer day in Georgia. Does the sunscreen still work?

It’s hard to say. Heat below 122F will not affect the sun protection factor of the sunscreen. Heat above 122F may cause the components of the sunscreen to separate.
And exposure to higher temperatures negatively affects the sun protection factor of the sunscreen.

Do you test Lazyface on animals?

No! We’re lazy but not that lazy. Lazyface never tests on animals.

Are your products reef-safe?

The term ‘reef-safe’ is not regulated by the FDA. But The Hawaii Act 104 recommends against using oxybenzone and octinoxate to avoid damage to coral reefs. And you’ll find neither oxybenzone or octinoxate in any Lazyface product.

Infrequently asked questions.

Why do you use Zinc oxide in Lazyface products?

Ok, smartypants. Zinc oxide effectively blocks the burning (UVB) and aging (UVA) rays of the sun. But better, Zinc oxide is a naturally occurring mineral that is safe on any skin type, even the most sensitive skin. It’s even safe to use on 6-month old babies!

Will Zinc oxide particles absorb into my bloodstream?

Short answer: no. Long answer: We use non-nano zinc oxide. These particles are too large to be absorbed into any body system, including the bloodstream.
